Once a while, you would like to bring to the table a dish of baked pasta that is quick and easy to put together;
and that eventually is possible, even partially, to prepare in advance.

Then, most important, that will be appreciated by everybody; therefore without strong flavors, spicy or shatp.

Like this traditional sedanini baked casserole!

It is a preparation that allows many variations, from the richer ones to the vegetarians.

I introduce now the version I'd call basic.

Up to you, if you wish, the freedom to modify and enrich it with the ingredients of your choice; or eventually even some leftovers from an earlier meal ...

And now, starting as always from the ingredients, let's start cooking!

Ingredients for two persons:

Preparation:

Preheat the oven to 220 ° C.

Bring the water to the pasta to a boil, add salt and toss the sedanini.
Meanwhile briefly sauté the diced ham in butter in a skillet;

be careful not to let it darken, or burn worse, the butter!

Immediately after draining the pasta, stop cooking under cold water and mix off the heat to small cubes of ham.

(If you want you can prepare the dough several hours before and, after draining and cooled, season it with a little oil EVO)

In a bowl pour the egg, grated cheese and milk; Season with nutmeg, salt and pepper and mix well with a whisk.

Cut into small cubes cheese (dairy type) and add it with pasta and ham to the bowl.

Mix well and pour into a baking dish (no need to grease it).

Bake at 220 ° C for 30 'and in any case until browned and firmly composed.

(Ten minutes from the end of cooking, wanting a gratin crisper, remove the pan from the oven, sprinkle with breadcrumbs and fire it again to complete the cooking.)

Remove from the oven and serve.

Distribute in the dishes and ... bon appetit!
