The donut of yesteryear...

The donut of yesteryear ...

Once upon a time, back when the ready snacks did not rage everywhere, there was the cake for breakfast; but also for the snacks!
Certainly not a complicated cake, rich in expensive ingredients and prepared for a day of celebration;
a simple cake, made with what was in the house.

For example, a nice bundt cake, like the one I made here.

It is a cake that is prepared quickly and without too many complications, if you want even without a special cake pan; just a heatproof bowl in which to place the dough.

It does not need special kitchen equipment:

everything can be mixed in a bowl, by hand.

I wanted to do a luxury preparation, decorating the cake even with almonds and granulated sugar; and I also used the mixer!
But I love the comfortable life, sometimes ...
