My "New Year's Eve" dinner

This year's Eve night on the mountain full of few but good!

In fact, half of the group was suffering in bed due to fevers and influences.
But we have not given up on dinner and it indeed was an opportunity to please the vegetarian friend where I was staying.

Friend who has found a table set with different courses, all pleasant and all in the name of his tastes.
A dinner that everyone liked; also to those who have had the opportunity to taste these dishes only the following day!

And while the fire was burning in the fireplace and I gave the final touches to the table and the dishes ... others relaxed in an armchair or played at the PC.

 Certainly I did not want to do anything extremely sought after and so I proposed first an opening salad

 

and I continued with one onion soup, Served on bread croutons covered mountain cheese slices.

 

Then a light puff pastry filled with crescenza and tomato, almost one vol-au-vent giant!

 

The main course was a good dish of polenta accompanied with a mushroom ragout.

And finally, in the face of trotters and lentils, we celebrated midnight with a nice slice of apple pie, What I often do.

 

And, forgive me, we have all dined in beer.

  • I know many people who think that a vegetarian lunch or dinner is, in a way, boring and monotonous. As a convinced omnivore, I hope these photos and colors will enable them to review this opinion!
