My Christmas turkey:
from the filling to the table!

Christmas turkey, from stuffing to recycling!

... And from the table on the following days; for reuse at best and with taste any outstanding!

Yes, because this Christmas dish is a dish very important and, as often happens with these courses, it is also monumental;
It's a lot.

And there is something to do with your jaws, if you want, even in the following days!

Here I wanted to collect, all together, what are the recipes related to the turkey that my family puts on the table on Christmas day.

Starting with the actual preparation of this bird, from cooking and cutting,

up to the table.

Here is the recipe: (the Christmas turkey)

Il stuffing it has a whole story of its own and I find that inserting the description together with that of the preparation of the actual dish would make you want to read it because of its excessive length!

So the recipe is found, separately, here: the filling for the turkey

As written then at the beginning of this small page, the history of this dish does not end on the day of its arrival at the table:
a new life is always already foreseen for any inventories.

For all the meat scraps and the little filling left in the tray, the continuation is the most classic that has always been:
ravioli or tortelloni.

I prepare them like this: the ravioli with the remaining turkey.

And, if by any chance there's enough pulp left to slice,

as well as for a simple sandwich the same evening, it is worth trying, even the next day, in an elegant room Club Sandwich.

Accompanying it eventually in the dish with the last pickles.

You can find my version here: Club Sandwich.

All that remains is to begin, there are only a few days left for Christmas!

  • There are many possible variations to this dish and its reuse:
    I generally do that, though.
